At Stringcan we believe in removing barriers. To execute our vision, we have an amazing team with diverse background who believes in understanding how new technologies are developing and how it is changing people’s lives. One of the key aspects that makes Stringcan unique is its diversity in the team members and their experiences. A few of our team members were given a set of philosophical, fun, and mind boggling questions to answer to pick their brain and get to know more about them. Let us meet some of the team members and see what they have to say.

Meet our Director and Co-founder Jason McDonald, who is seldom found in office but mostly meeting amazing people in exciting businesses, travelling around the world, hosting conferences, and always full of energy. Hailing from Arizona, US, Jason lived a couple of years in Germany, and loves to BBQ.

Q1: Tell us about yourself in a few sentences.

Born in a small town in Northern Arizona, grew up riding horses and fishing. Got hit on the head when I was 16 and woke up in Paris running a company focused on removing barriers...I don't know how I got here.

Q2: What are your unique skills?

I can talk to anyone about anything (even if we don't speak the same language)

Q3: If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?

I would be Optimism Man, I would be able to make things happen based on only optimism and grit.

Q4: What rushes your adrenaline?

Speaking / teaching on stage

Q5: What makes you You?

This is hard but I could say I strive to have a joy in my life and I try and share it with those around me.

Q6: What is your philosophy of life?

You have to do it so do it well; but don't take it too seriously, you won't get out alive.

Meet our COO, Ann Livingston, who is always one step ahead of the game, she has her eyes and ears reaching out to all the divisions of the company and she not only maintains a firm grip but also ensures that everything moves smoothly under her watch. Ann is Franco-American, grew up in various cities in different continents, majored in law, and loves to switch languages between conversations.

Q1: Tell us about yourself in a few sentences.

Hey, I'm Franco-American and grew up in 10 different cities, in 6 countries and on 3 continents. I enjoy learning new cultures and evolving in an international environment - whether at work or in my personal life. Reading French literature or world press, traveling a bunch, dancing and listening to world music are some of my hobbies. I also love good food and speaking different languages!

Q2: What are your unique skills?

I like to think of myself as open-minded, and that has allowed me to be highly adaptable to diverse environments.

Q3: If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?

I would enjoy flying - I would get to see the ones I love more frequently and wouldn't have to be stuck in public transportation ever again :)

Q4: What rushes your adrenaline?

I'm a high achiever and thinking I can always do better really rushes my adrenaline. It keeps me going!

Q5: What makes you You?

I think my "non traditional" background makes me ME. I apprehend situations with a different perspective than others sometimes.

Q6: What is your philosophy of life?

Happiness is a journey not a destination.

Meet our Senior Project Manager, Deepu John Johnson, who not only enjoys zooming in to client’s business requirements, but also zooming out to see the big picture while making sure that the execution of projects moves smoothly. Growing up in India and the middle east, John loves to play basketball and is a huge fan of LA Lakers.

Q1: Tell us about yourself in a few sentences.

Since coding was too mainstream in my perspective, I decided to change my journey and walk the road less travelled. Hence, I came to France to pick myself up from a normal life and put me in an intense environment where I learn to live with new skills and capabilities.

Q2: What are your unique skills?

I like to categorise things, put it in boxes, label them, and make it easily searchable.

Q3: If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?

I would like to have the power to travel in time to the future and to the past and mess around with the space time continuum to make the world a better and safer place. ;)

Q4: What rushes your adrenaline?

Visiting a random city with no mobile phone / connectivity and finding your way around.

Q5: What makes you You?

Figuring out the best solution for any complicated issues. I believe I can help find solutions even when faced with a lot of uncertainty.

Q6: What is your philosophy of life?

We don’t know how long we would be on the face of planet earth. Make the most out of it, and give as much as you can, spread happiness, learn as much as you can as you go. You got one shot, make it count!

Meet our Project Analyst, Sabri Ben, who hopes for world peace and he believes that he can make the world a happy place with his strong efforts on cracking jokes in all situations light or serious, participating in many projects that make a difference, and organising conferences that makes a difference.

Q1: Tell us about yourself in a few sentences.

A global citizen in desperate need of learning something new every day and having an impact on one person at the same time. Love travelling, eating and talking to strangers. Crazy enough to believe that I can change the world and trying hard to make funnier jokes.

Q2: What are your unique skills?

Bringing people together, seeing the best in everyone and finding opportunities in every challenge and failure.

Q3: If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?

Telepathy so I could understand everyone and because words are limited and cannot express what we really want to say.

Q4: What rushes your adrenaline?

Being involved in something bigger than me, creating something that will last and Playing Basketball!

Q5: What makes you You?

My ambitions, my lame jokes, my cooking skills and the excitement on doing a lot of projects that makes a difference.

Q6: What is your philosophy of life?

Our role on earth is to uplift each other’s as a human kind and impact positively each other's life. Building bridges, spreading ideas and changing lives!
